Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often, answered plainly. If yours is not here, ask us directly — we would rather have the conversation than leave you guessing.

Pricing is built around scope: the channels involved, the volume of content, the level of strategy and the amount of production required. Every quote itemises what is included so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Both. Retainers suit ongoing work where consistency compounds — social media management, paid advertising, content production. Project work suits defined deliverables with an end point, such as a website build, a brand identity or a campaign. Many clients start with a project and move onto a retainer afterwards, and we are happy either way.

Our standard retainer term is 12 months, with 1 month notice thereafter. The reason for a minimum term is straightforward: strategy-led marketing takes a quarter to show what it is doing, and month-to-month arrangements produce month-to-month thinking. Project work is contracted against the deliverable, not a time period.

The first month is discovery and setup. We run a kick-off session with your team, audit what exists, agree objectives and metrics, and build the strategy and first content calendar. We also get access and tracking in order — analytics, ad accounts, platform permissions and reporting. Live output typically begins in weeks three to four. We would rather spend the first month getting it right than spend six months correcting it.

We work across sectors, with deep experience in logistics and transport, manufacturing and industrial, FMCG and beverage, professional services, and security and access solutions. We are sector-agnostic by choice — the discipline of understanding a category quickly is the same regardless of what the category is, and clients benefit from thinking that has not been recycled from their direct competitor.

No. We are based in Sandton, Johannesburg and work with clients across South Africa and internationally. Most of our work runs remotely with periodic in-person sessions, and we travel for shoots, workshops and launches wherever the work requires it.

It depends on the platform and the objective, and we will tell you honestly if a budget is too small to produce a meaningful result. Media spend is always billed separately from our management fee, paid directly to the platform where possible, and reported transparently. We do not mark up media.

Onboarding usually begins within a week of the agreement being signed and the deposit settled. Turnaround on individual deliverables is agreed in the service level agreement — content calendars monthly in advance, design work typically within 7–10 working days, and urgent campaign requirements accommodated by arrangement.

You do. On full settlement of the relevant invoice, ownership of the final delivered work transfers to you. Working files, raw footage and source assets are handed over on request. We retain the right to feature the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Monthly, against metrics agreed at the outset — not a generic platform export. Reporting covers what was delivered, what it produced, what we learned and what changes next month. Retained clients also get a quarterly strategy review where we step back from the numbers and reassess direction.

Frequently. We are often brought in to provide strategy, production capacity or specialist skill that an in-house team does not have, rather than to replace it. Where that is the case we agree the split of responsibility upfront so nothing falls between the two.

Three things. We are women-led and founder-run, so the people who pitch the work are the people who do it. We lead with strategy rather than deliverables, which means we will sometimes tell you to do less. And we work as a partner rather than a supplier — we push back, flag risks and challenge briefs when the brief is the problem.
